How long will the try-out last?
We expect try-outs to last approximately 60 – 90 minutes.
What do I bring to try-outs?
Each child should arrive in comfortable “Gym” type clothing – tennis shoes are required. Please bring a baseball glove. You may bring your own baseball bat, but it must meet Little League guidelines – please visit www.littleleague.org for more information on bat regulations. You will not be allowed to wear baseball cleats at this try-out it will be indoors.
What will happen during try-outs
Your player will be playing catch, throwing, timed running 50 yard dash and will bat. This is to evaluate each child – each child WILL make a team. Parents are invited to watch – this should not be a stressful time – if a child misses a ball that is OK!
Why do you have try-outs?
We evaluate each child so that we can provide information to the coaches. This will help them determine which skills will need to worked on, and will help us create teams of equal ability. Little League does not have A and B teams!

Players and parents,
The 2016 BCLL All-Stars teams have been selected and the results are listed below.
Anybody interested in learning how to umpire for games, please feel free to come to this clinic. This is informational and training for umpires for minor baseball games. All minor games need volunteer umpires, drawn from parents, older high-school kids, and other interested persons. Minor team coaches and parents are urged to attend this meeting. The clinic will involve some instruction and practice field work. Please meet at Thurs field.
This Saturday, April 16 is our field cleanup day.
In order to get our Little League fields (located at 6030 Vincent Avenue N, Brooklyn Center) ready for the upcoming season, we need your help! Field Clean up is this Saturday, April 16th from 9am to approximately 4pm. If you can only make it for part of the time, please do so!
Please bring your gloves to wear, rakes and anything else you have that might be helpful to prepare our fields for the upcoming season. Some of the tasks will be raking the fields, pulling weeks from the infields, minor repairs to score shacks, concession stand, repair of bleachers, cleaning out the dugouts, sweeping, just to name a few.
It’s up to all of us as parents to make the fields look nice, please help us have a great start to the year!
The last BCLL Baseball signups are this weekend, Saturday March 5th at the Brooklyn Center Community Center from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. If you have not already registered, please make sure to stop by and get your child signed up so that we can more easily plan for tryouts which are March 13th.
Reminder that all children of Machine Pitch, Minor or Major age, that plan on playing are required to attend on the 13th to try out. It you are Major eligible, you need to try out to be eligible for the draft. Children that will be playing T-Ball are not required to try out.
At the tryouts on March 13th we will have sample uniforms to try on for sizing. Parents will be required to have their children try on and choose the correct size for uniforms for their children. Any changes to uniform size after the tryouts date will be the responsibility of the parents to arrange and pay for on their own.
